Production Associate

Position Summary: The Production Associate is responsible for operating various pieces of machinery (Grinders, drill presses, lathes, mills, benders, CNC Machines), assembling product, and packaging finished goods. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment is important.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
 
  • Create quality products according to drawings, travelers.
  • Inspect parts for accuracy and quality standards.
  • Perform changeovers as needed to ensure production efficiency.
  • Responsible for the proper packaging, identifying and moving of all finished products to the proper location.
  • Understand and follow travelers
  • Maintain accurate production records
  • Ensure all equipment is properly set-up and used in a safe manner and that all safety devices are in use.
  • Performs first piece inspections as well as all subsequent inspections in compliance with quality  protocols.
  • Monitor equipment and request maintenance when required.
  • Document completed maintenance tasks
  • Perform daily machine maintenance as required.
  • Assist in troubleshooting minor equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and participate in regular safety training.
  • Keep a clean workspace.
  • Will be required to cross-train as back-up in other areas of the manufacturing plant.

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 to 2 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Position requires good mathematical ability and the ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and travelers.
  • Position requires the ability to operate precision measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, protractors, and tape measures.
