We are currently seeking a Production Manager - Fabrication to join our team in Lansdale, PA. This role will oversee our hardwood, CNC, face frame, and build departments.  Candidates must have previous carpentry experience.

What You'll Do:

  • Support and demonstrate core company values using your previous carpentry experience
  • Define, train, and enforce quality standards and processes across fabrication departments
  • Coach and develop team members; support career growth and reduce turnover
  • Promote a culture of quality, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Maintain wood inventory and manage supplies to support production demand
  • Support safety initiatives and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Manage departmental staffing, including hiring, training, performance reviews, and corrective actions
  • Collaborate daily with Engineering, Purchasing, Scheduling, and other managers
  • Plan department schedules and time-off in alignment with production demands
  • Meet or exceed departmental labor and supply budgets

Skills & Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience managing 5-10 employees in a fabrication or production environment. Must have previous carpentry experience
  • Working knowledge of cabinet fabrication and build processes
  • Skilled in maintaining and troubleshooting production equipment
  • Ability to read production paperwork
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality
  • Effective delegator with strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience with Cabinet Vision or other design/production software
  • Problem-solving ability and leadership mindset
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) helpful and preferred but not required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; technical training preferred
  • OSHA 10 or 30 Certification preferred
  • Forklift certification a plus
  • Ability to work in a physically active environment, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs

Essential Job Duties

  • Support and demonstrate Core company values.
  • Develop and ensure company standards hardwood, CNC, face frame and build departments and quality control processes and procedures are defined, instructed, and followed by all personnel.
  • Train and assist in creating a career path for department personnel's skill sets, cross train as required. Help to ensure turnover is at a minimum.
  • Demonstrate visible leadership and actively engage in team motivation, coaching and development.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in the annual staffing budget process. Manage labor and supply costs to ensure department stays within approved budget.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement by identifying ways to enhance quality, reduce waste, and streamline processes.
  • Manage departments to support company strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure supplies for all departments are available as needed
  • Manage wood inventories to meet production requirements
  • Ensure the department meets company standards for safety, cleanliness and organization.
  • Support Safety committee implementing and enforcing safety programs and other company policies as required
  • Hiring, firing, disciplinary actions and performance reviews as needed in department
  • Collaborate with other managers to support the processes throughout the shop (daily/weekly).
  • Works closely with other department heads including Engineering, Purchasing and Scheduling. Vacation planning according to work order demands.

Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years managing 5-10 employees
  • 2+ experience fabrication build processes
  • Experience in using and maintaining production equipment
  • Ability to read paperwork (English) Spanish, highly desirable
  • Ability to maintain standard of quality through detailed inspection
  • Organized
  • Delegate fabrication tasks quickly and efficiently
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Hardworking and reliable

  • Bilingual (Spanish and English) helpful and preferred, not required.
