Since 1980, Bucks County Housing Group (BCHG) has been the largest provider of homeless services in Bucks County, dedicated to alleviating hunger and homelessness in our community. We assist individuals and families facing food insecurity and homelessness, ensuring that the fundamental needs of our neighbors are met through comprehensive housing and food programs.

Our 2026 Strategic Priorities Include:
  • Housing and supporting approximately 500 families.
  • Providing housing counseling to over 400 individuals.
  • Serving more than 24,000 people through our Food Programs.

BCHG is seeking a highly organized, creative, and proactive professional to serve as our Development, Marketing & Volunteer Engagement Manager.

This role is responsible for leading BCHG’s volunteer engagement program, managing development operations within our donor database, and executing marketing and community outreach initiatives that expand our impact.

Working closely with the Director of Development & Marketing, this position serves as the operational hub of the department, coordinating campaigns, managing donor and volunteer data systems, building community partnerships, and supporting fundraising initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building systems, developing new ideas, strengthening community relationships, and taking initiative to grow volunteer and donor engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Volunteer Program Leadership
Lead and grow BCHG’s volunteer engagement program across food and housing initiatives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand BCHG’s volunteer base and improve volunteer retention.
  • Recruiting and onboarding individual and group volunteers.
  • Managing volunteer scheduling and coordination across BCHG programs.
  • Developing partnerships with schools, universities, civic groups, corporate partners, and faith communities.
  • Expanding BCHG’s volunteer network through proactive outreach and relationship building.
  • Maintaining volunteer engagement records and tracking participation metrics.
  • Planning volunteer appreciation and recognition initiatives.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for volunteer inquiries and opportunities.

Development Operations & Fundraising Execution
Support BCHG’s fundraising efforts through strong development operations and donor engagement.
  • Serve as the primary manager of donor and volunteer data within DonorPerfect, ensuring accuracy, reporting capability, and effective donor stewardship tracking.
  • Processing donations and managing donor acknowledgements.
  • Maintaining donor engagement history and ensuring database accuracy.
  • Supporting the execution of fundraising campaigns and donor communications.
  • Assisting with donor stewardship initiatives and relationship management.
  • Generating reports and insights from donor and volunteer data to support development strategy.

Marketing & Digital Engagement
Develop and execute marketing and digital engagement initiatives that increase BCHG’s visibility and community support.
  • Creating and publishing content for BCHG’s website, newsletters, and social media channels.
  • Monitoring and expanding BCHG’s digital engagement and online community.
  • Developing marketing materials to support campaigns, programs, and events.
  • Ensuring brand consistency across all communications.
  • Supporting growth of BCHG’s online audience and community awareness.

Community Engagement & Partnerships
Strengthen BCHG’s relationships with community partners and supporters.
  • Building relationships with schools, corporate partners, civic organizations, and community groups.
  • Identifying opportunities for volunteer recruitment and community engagement.
  • Representing BCHG at community events and outreach activities.
  • Expanding BCHG’s network of supporters and collaborators across Bucks County.

      Event & Campaign Support
Support the successful execution of BCHG’s fundraising and community events.
  • Assisting the Director of Development & Marketing in coordinating fundraising campaigns and events.
  • Managing volunteer coordination for events.
  • Supporting logistics including registration, communications, and promotional materials.
  • Helping ensure events run smoothly and successfully engage supporters.
Required Qualifications

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in nonprofit development, volunteer management, marketing, or community engagement.
  • Demonstrated experience working with donor CRM systems (DonorPerfect strongly preferred).
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with donors, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications
 
  • Experience managing volunteer programs.
  • Experience supporting fundraising campaigns or donor stewardship initiatives.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms such as Constant Contact.
  • Experience with WordPress or website content management systems.
  • Experience with Canva or graphic design tools.
Work Environment:
This full-time (40 hours/week), exempt position is based at BCHG’s administrative office in Warminster, PA, with limited travel throughout Bucks County as required. BCHG has adopted a hybrid work model, allowing for a mix of in-office and remote work as appropriate.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary range: $50,000 - $54,000, commensurate with experience
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 20 PTO days, 13 paid holidays, and retirement plan with 5% match
