Manufacturing Materials & Supply Chain Manager Location: Telford, PA
Quality Lab Accessories is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Materials & Supply Chain Manager to support our growing manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for purchasing, inventory management, shipping, receiving, supplier management, material planning, and ERP transactions while working closely with production, engineering, quality, and operations teams.
The successful candidate will be comfortable managing suppliers and inventory while also spending time on the manufacturing floor, supporting shipping and receiving activities, resolving material shortages, tracking work orders, and ensuring customer orders move efficiently through the business.
This is a highly operational role within a small manufacturing environment. We are looking for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, solving problems, and working directly with production teams to keep materials and products moving.
Key Responsibilities
Materials & Supply Chain Management
Manage purchasing activities and supplier relationships
Source and qualify suppliers while negotiating pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules
Monitor inventory levels and maintain material availability to support production requirements
Track work orders and Work In Process (WIP) throughout the manufacturing process
Manage ERP/MRP transactions, inventory accuracy, and material planning activities
Support BOM maintenance and inventory control initiatives
Coordinate material flow from receipt through shipment
Shipping & Receiving Operations
Manage inbound and outbound shipments, including domestic and international orders
Coordinate carrier selection, freight scheduling, Bills of Lading, and shipping documentation
Support receiving activities including inventory transactions, material verification, and discrepancy resolution
Work directly with warehouse and production personnel to ensure efficient material movement
Assist with shipping and receiving activities when required
Manufacturing Operations Support
Partner with production, engineering, quality, and operations teams to resolve material and scheduling issues
Support production planning and manufacturing execution activities
Troubleshoot inventory shortages, supplier issues, and material flow disruptions
Develop SOPs and best practices for inventory, shipping, receiving, purchasing, and material management
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, and operational efficiency
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in manufacturing materials management, supply chain, purchasing, production planning, inventory control, or related functions
Experience supporting a manufacturing operation required
Strong understanding of purchasing, inventory control, shipping, receiving, and material planning
Experience with ERP/MRP systems and inventory transactions
Experience supporting work orders, WIP tracking, and production material flow
Experience with domestic and international shipping preferred
Strong problem-solving and operational troubleshooting skills
Comfortable working in a small manufacturing environment where responsibilities extend beyond a traditional desk-based supply chain role
