Village Handcrafted Cabinetry is seeking an experienced Field Finisher to join our team. This position is responsible for finishing and touch-up work on custom cabinetry at customer job sites. We are looking for someone with hands-on cabinetry finishing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining our quality standards.
The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, is comfortable working directly with customers, and understands the level of craftsmanship expected in high-end custom cabinetry.
Responsibilities
- Spray, stain, paint, and glaze cabinetry using a variety of finishing techniques.
- Prepare cabinetry for finishing, including sanding, taping, and masking.
- Perform finishing and touch-up work at customer job sites.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and consistency.
- Properly use and maintain paint spraying equipment.
- Identify and resolve finishing issues while meeting project deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Represent Village Handcrafted Cabinetry professionally when working at customer locations.
- Assist with additional finishing duties as needed.
- Previous hands-on experience spraying, staining, painting, and/or glazing cabinetry required.
- Experience using and maintaining paint spraying equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to inspect work for quality.
- Ability to troubleshoot finishing issues and work independently.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with customers and team members.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
- Ability to travel to local job sites, with possible overnight travel.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in environments that may be noisy.
- Ability to meet respiratory fit-testing requirements, if applicable.
