  1. SUMMARY Regional Sales Representative is responsible to manage and grow business in the assigned territory.  The job responsibility is to learn the product line, our manufacturing and design capabilities, and to offer options to a market that has demand for our product, process and technology.  This position will entail current customer management as well as ambitious growth targets into new geographies and markets.
     
  2. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Achieve and exceed company expectations for sales revenue with profitable, win-win business and achieve expected margins.
  • Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.
  • Travel within assigned territory with a 50-50 mix of current and prospective customers amounting to 25-50% travel.
  • Interact effectively with inside sales staff, operations staff and other support staff.
  • Utilize companies CRM system to proactively manage sales forecast, opportunity pipeline, and all customer interaction including phone calls, meeting results, and email correspondence.
  • Effectively manage the region with professional phone interaction when not traveling.
  • Increase and maintain company position with existing and potential customers.
  • Deliver professional sales presentations to key customers and prospects.
  • Expand business relationships to achieve goals and forecast requirements.
  • Skillfully negotiate pricing keeping in mind differentiated value proposition.
  • Keep abreast of current industry and market conditions, trends and competition.

  • Engineering or Business Degree required.
  • 5+ years sales experience preferred.
  • Technical/Mechanical aptitude required.  Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications. 
  • Ability to develop and deliver sales presentations to win business and secure the sale. 
  • Experienced in planning and implementing effective business travel to see current and prospective customers.
  • Ability to learn and understand technology and communicate these business concepts.
  • Proven organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Professional appearance and interpersonal skills required.   
  • Ability to work effectively in a team based environment.
  • Ability and experience working with a wide variety of customer types.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. 
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
