Location:  Telford, PA
A Dip Molding Company located in Telford, PA is adding a new Manufacturing Process Engineer to their team.  Previous manufacturing engineer experience preferred.  Candidates with Dip Molding / injection Molding experience a plus.  
Candidate will work out of the Telford location and travel to other facilities to assist with manufacturing process engineering.
I.                    General Summary of Position
Develop and sustain manufacturing processes to meet or exceed the technical requirements of the company while achieving quality, throughout and cost objectives.
Lead the implementation of manufacturing processes including, but not limited to: facilities, layout, equipment selection and installation, workflow, process flow, process characterization, process monitoring/control methods, material handling, tool selection, consumables, documentation, training, support, and equipment service/maintenance.
Characterize, verify, and validate manufacturing processes to meet various regulatory requirements using Advanced Quality Planning methods.
II.                  Essential Duties
  • Works with manufacturing, operations and technical personnel to optimize processes to ensure quality, manufacturability, productivity and efficiencies.
  • Provides clear and concise documented standard operating procedures on key processes.
  • Work with facilities personnel and equipment suppliers to develop appropriate preventative maintenance programs for new and existing equipment.
  • Observes processes and develops innovative solutions to solve problems.
  • Develop and test mechanical/ manufacturing components, equipment, and machinery.
  • Assists in the development and utilization of key reliability metrics to measure performance.
  • Apply Six Sigma principles to drive manufacturing process improvements.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvements and makes recommendations to the operations leadership team and upper management.
  • Makes formal recommendations with ROI on equipment changes and upgrades.
  • Leads process to identify root cause and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Assist other team members in meeting plant and company objectives.
  • Create and maintain a work environment that is safe, ethical, goal oriented and team-based.
  • Prepare work instructions, routers and Bills of Materials in MRP system and tooling plans.
  • Perform with vendors and internal as well as external customers to prepare processes conforming to product parameters.
  • Resolve and execute manufacturing process solutions.
  • Read system layouts, draw and prepare schematics with AutoCAD.
  • Create a design of experiments for manufacturing process changes.

III.                Qualifications

  • Registered Professional Engineer.
  • BSIE or BSME degree w/4+ years’ experience within a manufacturing plant or MA/MS degree w/2+ years’ experience
  • Preferably 2-4 years, Management experience in operations, maintenance, estimating, layout, analysis, and planning for industrial, municipal, and commercial facilities.
  • Experience generating and coordinating Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (PIDs) for industrial clients and applications.
  • Knowledge of ICC building codes, UFC building codes, ASHRAE design manuals and guides and USGBC LEED and be able to apply those requirements specifically for new or existing building projects. 
  • Experience with client meetings and interaction with the client during the conceptual design, final design, construction, and commissioning.
  • Hands-on experience in the facilities engineering field for the operation and maintenance of the facility’s mechanical systems including heating and cooling systems; hydronic systems; boilers; chillers; cooling towers; compressed air systems; and related piping and pumping systems are a plus.
  • Experience with QA/QC, construction cost estimating, and value engineering for mechanical projects.
  • Scientific writing skills and ability to format reports in Microsoft Word with figures, tables, etc. for professional presentations to a client are a must.
