JOB SUMMARY: The Human Resources Manager is responsible for supporting the organization with responsibilities that include but not limited to offering guidance on recruitment, terminations, performance management, employee relations and Human Resources best practices while facilitating a positive relationship between personnel and senior management. The Human Resources Manager must be able to handle all requests confidentially with high attention to detail. 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
  • Implement and administer employee policies and procedures
  • Support the organization in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience
  • Recommendations regarding staffing resources
  • Maintaining employee files and ensuring employee background checks and annual updates are in compliance with federal and state regulations and programs operated.
  • Compensation and benefits administration.
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements
  • Conducts and documents investigations presenting findings to CFO
  • FMLA administration
  • Maintaining the employee handbook
  • Develop employee newsletter
  • Coach and mentor terminal managers and office managers in hiring and disciplining employees
  • Worker Compensation claim reporting and administration; work with managers and returning employee to work throughout limited duty and return to work full duty, updates OSHA Logs.
  • Co-Chair Safety Committee; update meeting minutes and agenda monthly; remind Committee about upcoming meeting
  • Work with Broker to develop training topics and update new hire onboarding
  • Process unemployment compensation documentation and participate in hearing as needed
  • Keeps CFO updated regarding incidents or concerns
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Completes HR monthly reporting and provides to CFO. 
  • HRIS updates in ADP Workforce Now as needed. 
  • Understand business flow and how HR decisions affect the bottom line
  • All other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
