We are seeking a CNC / Injection Molding Associate to operate both CNC machines and injection molding equipment to produce precision components that meet engineering specifications. About 75% of this role focuses on CNC operations, with the remaining 25% on injection molding production. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining quality standards.
CNC Operations
Set up and operate CNC machines per engineering drawings and specifications.
Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and work-holding devices.
Monitor machine operations and adjust settings as needed for quality and consistency.
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools.
Perform routine maintenance and document completed work.
Troubleshoot CNC equipment issues to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Injection Molding Operations
Set up and operate injection molding machines per specifications and work instructions.
Prepare molds, load materials, and adjust machine settings for proper cycle times.
Monitor production runs for quality and efficiency, making adjustments as needed.
Perform in-process inspections for dimensional and cosmetic accuracy.
Record production data and machine run logs.
Conduct basic equipment maintenance, including mold cleaning.
Troubleshoot molding issues such as flashing, short shots, or inconsistencies.
Assist with mold and material changeovers.
High School Diploma or GED required; technical certification in CNC machining, plastics processing, or related field preferred.
Experience as a CNC Machinist or Operator required; injection molding experience strongly preferred.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of CNC programming, G-code, and CAM software.
Familiarity with CNC and injection molding machines and controls.
Skilled with precision measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective teamwork and communication skills.
Safety- and quality-focused mindset.
Ability to bend, lift, and push up to 50 lbs.
Frequent standing, walking, and reaching throughout the shift.
Occasional exposure to temperature changes and loud noise.
Must comply with PPE requirements at all times.
